This website is produced by Student Education Programs and is designed to provide information to college-bound students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other disabilities.

The principal author of The College Information Guide for Students with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and Other Disabilities is Mike Uretsky, M.S.Ed. His background includes:

Experiences:

  • High School Guidance Counselor, Teacher, and Coach.
  • University Instructor.
  • Supervisor for Special Education Teacher Interns.
  • Member of the Admission Committee for a University's Department of Education.

Presentations:

  • Presenter at the National Association of Higher Education and Disability Conference.
  • Presenter at the Ohio Transition and Communication Consortium on Learning Disabilities Conference.
  • Presenter at the ACT Conference.

Awards:

  • National Coca Cola Educator of Distinction Award Recipient.
  • Golden Apple Teaching Award Recipient.
  • Golden Shamrock Educator Award Recipient.

Educational Experiences:

  • Earned a Master's of Science Degree in Education and Allied Professions with a specialization in School Guidance Counseling from the University of Dayton.
  • Completed a Post-Bachelor's Degree Teaching Certification Program from Ohio Dominican University.
  • Graduated with Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa Honors from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
